This kind and lovely lady was the VERY FIRST to share a Pinterest post of mine introducing my NEW BLOG and I want to say Thank You SO MUCH!!!!!

I have been following this creative woman for quite some time now and her penny rugs and candle matts are just incredible!! Her patterns are avaliable to purchase and I would not hessitate for a second to purchase one from her! She will not only show you how to make a penny rug from start to finish but she will give you the most terrific ideas too.

I discovered her blog and Pinterest account a few years ago when I started making penny rugs myself and have been following her closely ever since!

I had been on a trip to the Maritimes and went into a little quilt shop and there on a shelf was the most beautifuly hand crafted candle mat, It was pure white and made with the softest felted wool. I could tell someone with passion and skill had created it becuase my heart pitter pattered immediately when I saw it and I knew instantely that penny rugs, candle matts and table runers was something that I was interested in making!!!! I examined a few closely and admired the intricate design and delicate detail and quickly set off to start making them myself, I have continued since that day to further educate myself on technique and designes; thanks to wonderful people like Cath's Pennies Designes!!!

I have made hundred of penny rugs, candle matts and table runners all with my "je ne sais quois' flair to them. I just love this craft. Its very relaxing to sit with a woolen project in hand. These peojects are time consuming, filled with love and the end result is beautiful and useful. I truly do feel as though you stitch love into every single piece. Best part is that I usually have a cat or two on my lap while I work on my pieces; as they love to paw at the wollen threads I use to embroider.

Next on my "to do list" is to open myself an Etsy account where you can brouse through my pieces and maybe even purchase one!! I'll also post pictues of my work here once photo's are taken.
